2006.10 - Etch-A-Sketch crash

UPDATE : some dimwit couldn't work out for himself that this IS, in fact, artwork. the original ETCH-A-SKETCH screen was painted with glossy enamel, and several layers of computer printout photo paper were contact glued to that painted base. the final MS-Windoz Error screen was inkjet printed and glued onto the previous surface, as was the Commodore Amiga mouse pointer ... it should be fairly obvious, if a person of average intelligence were to look at the submitted photo, that this is NOT a digital fabrication, but an actual Etch-A-Sketch with several layers of various elements affixed to the screen-cum-support

DA submission guidelines state : "The term collage comes from the french 'coller', to glue. This category includes traditional work which is created by gluing a variety of materials onto a flat surface. Materials can include paper, cloth, photographs, etc."

D'OH ! Friday the thirteenth - that's the answer !

just when i thought my Etch-A-Sketch port of the Amiga DOS was ready to go, up pops an error on the emulated MS Windows XP … wait - the old 1.2 Workbench ROM are still installed ! so then why didn't i get a ''Guru Meditation'' ?

Friday the 13th be damned … time to re-boot ( SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE )
